The Stokes Collection is regarded by many antique experts as the
greatest private collection in the southern hemisphere.
It's situated at the centre of the magnificent Forest Glade Gardens.
This remarkable collection represents the life-long passion of Cyril Stokes.
It all began in 1954 when Cyril bought a small painting for two pounds.
Over the years it has evolved into a breathtaking anthology of
18th and 19th century porcelain, a spectacular collection of
French furniture, many Boulle pieces, a grand set of tapestries from
a South American palace, extensive collections of paintings,
marble, statuary and a stunning collection of oriental works of art.
